Luca Falasconi

Luca Falasconi graduated in Agricultural Sciences from Bologna University and obtained a Research Doctorate in Economy of food production systems in Mediterranean basin countries at the University of Palma.

He is currently a researcher at the Department of Agriculture and Food Science and Technology at Bologna University, where he holds the chair of Agricultural Policy and Rural Development (in the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine) and the chair of Economics and Development in the Agriculture and Food sector (School of Medicine and Surgery). He gained 10 years’ experience in the running and development of cooperative companies.

He is founding member of Last Minute Market, currently a spin-off recognised by Bologna University, which for the past 15 years has been engaged in publicising food waste and spreading an anti-waste culture.
