I’m a 38-year-old native of Pisa with a past as a dancer, a present as a mum and an uncertain future in research. And the search for a future. I can do a passable somersault and I love early morning walks in the streets of unknown cities.

I also work on communication for a cultural project (MemorySharing) and I believe that memories should be kept in a jam-jar with holes in the lid, like fireflies. Basically, I write because I don’t know how to fly. And because I have a weakness for words. NN stands for Nomen Nescio. Nobody. Or some kind of nobody. Who offers herself anyway.

When I was little the priest in church used to use NN to list the smallest offerings. A useless litany, a torture, an interminable roll-call of NNs that became a hypnotic interior lullaby during which I amused myself by imagining shapeless and faceless benefactors sealed inside the tall columns of dignity and anonymity. What can we do, in any case they don’t do that these days. I found the same music on TW.
