Michele Torsello

Torsello-Michele

A 32-year-old lawyer, on the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, where he works as legal head of the #italiasicura Mission Structure to combat hydrogeological instability. Following a year spent at Humboldt Universitaet in Berlin, he graduated with first class honours in Jurisprudence at Sapienza University of Rome, and subsequently attended the specialised School for legal professionals and worked as a university assistant in administrative law at Roma Tre University. Since 2011 he has worked in the field of regional development through the use of European funds, employed by the Department responsible for the planning and coordination of European funds (DPS), and in technical secretarial services at the Ministry for Territorial Cohesion. In 2012 he was selected by the World Economic Forum as a young “Global Shaper” for his work on projects with social impact at local level, and subsequently became coordinator of the Rome group. He is a photographer, a musician and passionate about history and politics.
