I am a television personality, conference speaker and expert on the environment. I head the Geophysics Observatory in the “Enzo Ferrari” Engineering Department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
I am proud to say that I am President and Director only of myself!
For more than 20 years I have been concerned with weather, climate, the environment and energy; I have taken part in dozens of scientific conferences, organised hundreds of educational events and attended several of the UN’s Climate Change Conferences, starting with COP 15 in Copenhagen. I am weather and snow consultant for Bologna Airport and other public and private sector clients, as well as adviser to Father Christmas and an expert on snowmen.
Between 2003 and 2007 I was involved in “Che Tempo Che Fa”, presented by Fabio Fazio on Rai 3. I have worked on many other national radio and television broadcasts, including presenting “Lombroso Variabile” on Class TV Msnbc-ClassMeteo and, in 2015, Il Mondo Insieme with Licia Colò on TV 2000, with the slot “the world in forecast”.
I have written several books, most recently Apocalypse Now? clima ambiente cataclismi. Possiamo salvare il mondo.ora. Edizioni Artestampa. I have written and/or starred in several films, including as the traveller in the film “Secchia dal Crinale al Po, viaggio lungo il fiume alla ricerca di un parco”. Having received the “Bilancia d’Oro” in 2006, I was honoured to receive the Kronos Academy “Un bosco per Kyoto” award at the Campidoglio in Rome in 2013, the Penna d”Autore prize and the Carver prize.
I am already compliant with #ilmiokyoto and #ilmio20202020, thanks to my daily use of #lamiabici, also #ilmiofotovoltaico which produces my clean electricity, and – if I really have to use the car – #lamiaibrida. I also consume predominantly local and organic foods.
