A native of Bologna, Luca studied at the DAMS university and graduated in sociolinguistics, with an experimental thesis on language and gender difference. In his professional life he is a journalist and consultant on communication strategies. Mountains are his greatest passion.
His experience in journalism started in radio, which remains his first love, and continued into television reporting, documentary, printed press and online media. He works as a consultant for institutions, industry groups and major national associations. He has been a trainer for the National Alpine Cliff and Cave Rescue Corps (CNSAS) for many years, and operates at both local and national level, among other things in the training of supervisors of rescue operations. His involvement in emergency systems and the lack of information available on these issues encouraged him to start “IlGiornaledellaProtezioneCivile.it”, an independent online daily news sheet.
In this field he is one of the pioneers in reflection and analysis of the use of social media in the communication of risk and emergency situations for civil protection. With the newspaper, in 2013 he collaborated with the Department of Civil Protection to organise the first conference on the topic. He is part of the working group #SocialProCiv. After many years as a free spirit, in 2008 he founded the communications and media relations agency Cervelli In Azione. He is a member of Imago Orbis – Cinema and audiovisuals.
