Gino Carrozzo, Ph.D. is Deputy Head of R&D and Senior Network Architect at Nextworks. He holds 15 years experience in telecommunication networks, and particularly on control plane architectures and protocols: SDN/NFV, MPLS, GMPLS/ASON, VPWS/VPLS, MPLS-TP and PBB-TE. He participated in multiple industrial projects with some of the major networking companies (Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, Siemens), consultancies for network operators (Interoute, Wind) and R&D projects with leading Telco industries and renowned universities and research centres. Gino is now leading Nextworks R&D in SDN/NFV and IoT areas, with focus on virtualization solutions and architectures for the seamless integration of Internet Connected Objects with programmable software defined networks.
