Giangiacomo Olivi is a lawyer with extensive experience in the fields of technology, media and telecommunications, who provides strategic and commercial assistance to numerous national and international clients. Before joining DLA Piper, Olivi worked with a well-known Italian law firm. He also has experience with a leading company in the media and television industry, as head of the legal team for Sud Europa. Since 2006 he has been recognised as the top Italian lawyer in the TMT-Media sector, named in the most respected international guides, including Chambers Europe and The Legal 500 EMEA. Since 2008 the same recognition has been extended to the group of professionals that make up his team.
In 2010 the group led by Olivi was awarded the Top Legal prize as “TMT studio of the year – Technology, Media, Telecommunications”, while in 2013 and 2011 the award went directly to Olivi as “Best professional of the year – TMT”.
In 2014 Olivi was awarded “Professional of the year – TMT” at the Legal Community Awards.
