Daniele Biella was born in 1978 and has been a journalist for over a decade, writing on social issues for Vita.it and other online and print publications. He focuses particularly on migration – always bearing in mind that behind every statistic is a face, a person, a story – and international cooperation, following the world picture as closely as possible, top of the list being the Middle East and Latin America. Nawal, l’angelo dei profughi is his first book. He has lived in Spain and Chile, and currently lives with his wife and two children in his home province, Brianza. He is also involved with education and the non-violent resolution of conflict, and recently also civil mediation. He loves basketball and tries to play whenever he can , though he is not as good as he once was.
