Claudio Midolo is co-founder and CTO at ClioMakeUp, the largest Italian online community devoted to beauty. Claudio left for New York in 2007 to study for a Masters in Fine Arts at Parsons The New School of Design, which he successfully completed in 2009. During his university career he focused on the intersections between digital technology, creativity and communication.
He is involved with various projects: StopStockouts, which raises awareness of the problem of the lack of medicines in African hospitals, and SMALLab, a learning programme based on mixed reality techniques.
Claudio teaches for Parsons as an instructor in Time-Based Digital Media, and in 2010 he was appointed Game Designer for Quest To Learn, The first American public school whose curriculum is entirely shaped by the interaction between game logic and systems thinking.
Since 2014 he has been working full time on the ClioMakeUp project, which he created in 2008 with his wife Clio Zammatteo. He lives in Brooklyn with Clio and four cats, and continues to follow his dreams.
