Slawka G. Scarso has a first class degree in Economics from the LUISS Guido Carli University, an AIS Sommelier Diploma and is a qualified Olive Oil Sommelier. She teaches Wine Marketing and food and wine tourism at the LUISS Business School and the University of Salerno. Since 2004 she has been working in the field of communication in the food and wine sector, acting as a consultant for several Italian companies. Since 2005 she has been publishing the blog www.marketingdelvino.it, the first Italian blog dedicated to wine field. She has contributed to numerous magazines and wine and restaurant guides.
She is the author of the books Il vino a Roma (2010) and Il vino in Italia (2011), both published by Castelvecchi, and co-author of the volume Custodi di Identità (2012), published by INEA (National Institute of Agricultural Economics). Her latest book (LSWR, June 2014) is Marketing del vino. Dalle etichette ai social network, la guida completa per promuovere il vino e il turismo. In June 2014 she also published a collection of noir short stories, entitled Mani buone per impastare, published by Blonk Editore.
October 2015 will see the publication by LSWR of the book Marketing del gusto, co-authored with Luciana Squadrilli.
