A graduate in Contemporary History at La Sapienza University, Marco obtained a research doctorate from Roma Tre University. He began his career in journalism in 1995 as editor of the weekly Segno Sette, where he became a freelance journalist. He also worked with Diario magazine and the Il Corriere della Sera Sette weekly magazine, before being appointed in 2001 as political and parliamentary correspondent at L’Espresso.
He co-wrote the script and screenplay for the film Piovono Mucche, winner of the 1996 Solinas Prize for screenwriting. He is currently a writer and a regular guest on the RaiTre show Gazebo.
