Born in Wales in 1991 but now living in Glasgow, Lewis Roberts began making music at the age of nine. From a passion for John Coltrane’s jazz, he quickly discovered electronic music. In 2008 he began his career as a producer, under the stage name “Koreless”. Koreless followed the lines of the post-dubstep scene, recording for Young Turks and producing remixes for Bloc Party, Foals, How To Dress Well and Ghostpoet. In July 2015 he released a new double single on the Young Turks label entitled ‘TT/LOVE’. The single follows the acclaimed EP ‘Y?gen’ and displays something of a distancing from a filmic sound, moving towards a more club approach. ‘TT/LOVE’ is the result of Koreless’ experimentation over the past two years, during which he has had two major commissions: the homage to Terry Riley, held in April at The Barbican in London, and “The Well”, a four-handed project with visual artist Emmanuel Biard, which had its debut in Manchester at the Future Everything Festival and and the British Council, then travelled to Moscow and finally to the Sonar Festival. In parallel with his research and experimentation, Koreless’ numerous live club appearances and a tour backing Caribou have confirmed him as one of the most respected artists in the electronic scene, and a unique voice.
