Dream Koala

Dream Koala is a musical project by French composer and guitarist Yndi Ferreira Da Silva. From a family of artists, Yndi has grown up completely surrounded by music. He is influenced by groups and producers like Slowdive, FlyLo e Shlohmo, and creates evocative live sets in which he plays guitar, sings and samples sounds with his SP404, resulting in an electronic sound that mixes dream pop and shoegaze influences. In 2012 he became known with a remix of the XXYYXX track “About You”. The following year he released his EP “Odyssey” and in 2014, with the same label, Nøwhere Recordings, “Earth. Home. Destroyed.”, an EP that in addition to the appeal of his previous productions also shows an interest in social and environmental issues. Late July 2015 saw the release of the video of “Earth”, the new single from the same EP; this is a truly futuristic short film speaking of a post-apocalyptic world at the mercy of the elements and the forces of nature. Only 19 years old, Dream Koala appears to be on the verge of exploding into stardom as a new shining light.
