Restaurateur, sommelier, journalist, 2.0 web writer. A degree in biology with a research specialisation in distance learning, Andrea took on the classic family Trattoria Da Burde in Florence since 1901, focusing on wine, and expanding communication in the field thanks to his know-how acquired on the web in all its multiple potential and manifestations. Runner-up in European Sommelier of the year in 2008, Italian Ambassadeur du Champagne, freelance writer and journalist with a regular column in Business People since 2007. Over the years he has founded the web networks Dissapore and Intravino (for which he continues to write) and his personal blog Vino da Burde; he is also the creator of Italy’s most popular food and wine channel on YouTube (1.6 million views and over 3000 videos). Since 2013 he has been a fixed name on the list of the 20 most influential online wine writers internationally, and number one in Italy. Every month he stages his multimedia festival God Save the Wine, now in its 45th edition having visited Florence, Milan, Rome, Verona, Bologna, Genoa and Forte dei Marmi.
