Agnese Fontana is a writer and film producer. She obtained a diploma in production in 1985 at the Experimental Film Centre in Rome. In 1990 she established Brooklyn Films, with which she produced Non mi basta mai (Can’t get enough) 1999, documentary 78 min. The film was directed by Guido Chiesa and Daniele Vicari, and was winner of the Cipputi Prize at the 1999 Turin Film Festival; distributed in Italy by Pablo s.r.l.
In 1999 she founded, and from 2000 to 2002 was vice president of COD/IT – the Association of Italian Documentary Makers; she was also treasurer of the association from 2006 to 2008. In 2000 she obtained a diploma on the Eurodoc course for European documentary producers. For 2007 to 2011 she was project developer and head of production at Kaos Cinematografica Srl., where she made Fughe e Approdi in 2010, 81 minutes, directed by Giovanna Taviani. With Le Talee srl, founded in 2011, she produced in association with Kaos cinematografica and Stemal Entertainment CESARE DEVE MORIRE, directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, winner of the 2012 Orso D’Oro at the Berlin Film Festival.
