What space does food occupy on Earth? And in our bodies? and in orbit? When we were nomads, we modified the space around us to build ourselves a shelter. When we settled, we cultivated the soil. Now we are new explorers, we build greenhouses in space to produce real food for astronauts. We modify space to provide for our primary needs, creating new emotional geographies.
