Luca Pappalardo is a researcher at the Information Technology Department of the University of Pisa and the CNR’s Institute of Information Science and Technologies. He was born in Salerno, where he obtained a degree specialising in IT. In 2014 he completed a Doctorate in IT at the University of Pisa, with a thesis on Big Data analytics. He is currently working in Data Science, Network Science and Sports Analytics, and is the author of a blog on the topic of Data Journalism. He has collaborated and worked with various universities and businesses around the world, including Skype, Budapest University, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and the Barabasi Lab at Northeastern University in Boston.
