Pronti a partire! Con la conferenza stampa che si è tenuta oggi nella Sala Pegaso di Palazzo Sacrati Strozzi in piazza Duomo, a Firenze, Internet Festival comincia davvero a scaldare i motori.
Dal 4 al 7 ottobre a Pisa va in scena il futuro: 4 giorni, 104 eventi, 200 relatori, 12 location diffuse per la città, concerti, installazioni, mostre, incontri, contest e workshop. Dalla città simbolo dell’informatica italiana – all’Università di Pisa nacque nel 1969 il primo corso di laurea in informatica d’Italia e proprio dal Cnr pisano partì nel 1986, la prima connessione a Internet – prende il via Internet Festival 2012, un appuntamento per scoprire ed esplorare gli scenari, le tendenze e gli sviluppi futuri della Rete.
Promosso da Regione Toscana, Comune di Pisa, Cnr, Registro.it e Istituto di Informatica e Telematica del Cnr insieme a Camera di Commercio di Pisa, Provincia di Pisa, Università di Pisa, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Scuola Normale Superiore, Associazione Festival della Scienza, Internet Festival ha scelto come filo rosso dell’edizione 2012 le “Forme di Futuro”. Un programma ricco di eventi e incontri attraverso i quali indagare le connessioni, i legami, le relazioni che, grazie a Internet, ridisegnano il paesaggio sociale, culturale ed economico a livello globale.
Il direttore del Festival è Edoardo Fleischner, il coordinamento è affidato a Fondazione Sistema Toscana. Anna Vaccarelli (Istituto di Informatica e Telematica Cnr) e Gianluigi Ferrari (Università di Pisa) coordinano rispettivamente il comitato esecutivo e quello scientifico.
Da oggi su questo stesso sito potrete trovare gli eventi (in costante aggiornamento) che si svolgeranno a Pisa dal 4 al 7 Ottobre, gli speaker che prenderanno parte al Festival, tutte le informazioni necessarie per partecipare ad un evento che proietterà la città di Pisa nel futuro, con la convinzione che un futuro senza Internet non sia possibile.

From 4 to 7 October in Pisa the future will be center stage: 4 days, 104 events, 200 speakers, 12 locations around the city, concerts, installations, exhibitions, contests and workshops. The city which is the symbol of Italian computing – the first degree course in computer science was at the University of Pisa in 1969 and it was at CNR Pisa in 1986 that the first Internet connection was made- kicks off the 2012 Internet Festival, a series of events to discover and explore scenarios, trends and future developments of the internet.
Promoted by the Tuscany Region, the City of Pisa, CNR, Registro.it, the Institute for Informatics and Telematics of the CNR, together with the Chamber of Commerce of Pisa, the Province of Pisa, the University of Pisa, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Associazione Festival della Scienza, the Internet Festival has chosen “Forms of the Future” as its main theme for 2012. A full program of events and meetings through which to investigate the connections, the ties and the relationships which, thanks to the Internet, have reshaped and will reshape the social and cultural landscape and economic development globally.
The festival director is Edward Fleischner, with coordination entrusted to the Fondazione Sistema Toscana. Anna Vaccarelli (CNR Institute of Informatics and Telematics) and Gianluigi Ferrari (University of Pisa) coordinate respectively the executive and the scientific committee.
From today on this website you will find the events (constantly updated) which will be held in Pisa on October 4 to 7, the speakers taking part in the Festival and all the information required to participate in the festival which will project the city of Pisa into the future with the belief that a future without the Internet is not possible.
